Childhood Cancer Awareness Month - Sept 2026

Throughout Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Sept 2026, Sugarloaf Lions Club, District 133 Ireland, has been proud to stand with children and families affected by childhood cancer.

As part of our campaign, our members and volunteers supported community supermarket collections at Dunnes Stores Newtownmountkennedy, Tesco Greystones and SuperValu Charlesland, helping to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.

Greystones Municipal District Offices and Greystones Library were both lit up gold in support of the month.

We also brought our community together for a Table Quiz at Greystones RFC on Thursday, 24th September, with teams enjoying an evening of fun, friendly competition, great prizes and fundraising—all while supporting childhood cancer awareness.

A special thank you to AIB, our table quiz sponsor, Greystones RFC for hosting us, our volunteers, quiz participants, donors, supporters and everyone who contributed to making the campaign a success.

All funds raised through the Childhood Cancer Awareness Month campaign will be given to Childhood Cancer Ireland to support its work with children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Every collection, every donation, every question answered and every act of support helps us bring hope, light and awareness.
